Service Questions

Which mini split service do I need?
Start with how many separate rooms you are conditioning. One room means a single-zone system. Two to eight rooms usually means a multi-zone system sharing one condenser. Replacing a central system entirely means whole-home ductless. Beyond that, the application pages cover sizing quirks specific to garages, sunrooms, attics, and other spaces that need more capacity than their floor area suggests.
Do you install the systems yourselves?
No. We are a lead-generation service that matches Texas homeowners with licensed installers. Every installation is performed by a licensed, insured local contractor from our vetted partner network — all TDLR-licensed, EPA-certified, and insured, verified before they join. We explain the arrangement fully on how we make money.
How much does installation cost across these services?
Single-zone systems run $2,000–$5,500 installed regardless of application — a garage unit and a bedroom unit at the same capacity cost the same. What varies by application is the capacity you need. A 400 sq ft bedroom needs 12,000 BTU; a 400 sq ft garage needs 18,000 to 24,000 BTU because of the garage door and uninsulated ceiling. See the pricing page for full tables.
Can one system cover multiple spaces on this list?
Sometimes. A multi-zone condenser can serve a bedroom and a home office on the same circuit. It generally should not serve both a living space and a workshop — those have very different use patterns, and a shop-side failure would take out the living area too. The usual approach is one multi-zone system for living spaces and a separate single-zone unit for a garage or shop.
