The short version

We collect the contact and project details you give us so licensed contractors can quote your job. We share those details with contractors for that purpose. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties. We run the Google Ads tag and Google Analytics 4, which set cookies so we can measure which ads lead to quote requests and how the site is used — you can opt out of targeted advertising, see section 8. You can ask us to stop contacting you or to delete your information at any time by emailingquotes@getminisplitquotes.com.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

Information you give us when you request a quote or contact us:

• Name, phone number, and email address
• Property address or service area
• Project details — space type, size, room count, timeline, and any notes you add

Information collected automatically when you visit:

• Standard server log data held by our hosting provider, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps
• Advertising measurement data collected by the Google Ads tag, including cookies Google sets in your browser, the pages you view, and whether you arrived from one of our ads
• Usage data collected by Google Analytics 4, including the pages you view, how long you stay, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the device and browser you use

Advertising and analytics cookies. This site runs two Google tags, both through Google's gtag.js library. The Google Ads tag measures which advertisements lead to quote requests. Google Analytics 4 measures how people use the site — which pages are read, and where visitors come from. Both set cookies in your browser and share data with Google, including your IP address and the pages you view. There are no social media tracking scripts.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We do not collect payment information — you pay your contractor directly, not us.

3. How we use it

• To match you with licensed contractors serving your area
• To pass your project details to those contractors so they can prepare a quote
• To contact you about your request by phone, text, or email
• To respond to questions you send us
• To maintain and improve the site, and to detect abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Who we share it with

Licensed contractors. This is the core of what we do. When you request a quote, we share your contact details and project information with one or more licensed contractors from our vetted partner network so they can contact you. Those contractors are independent businesses and handle your information under their own privacy practices once it reaches them.

Service providers. Hosting, form processing, and email delivery vendors that operate on our behalf.

Legal. Where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.

Business transfer. If the business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Google. The Google Ads tag and Google Analytics 4 share advertising and usage data with Google as described above. Google's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties, and we do not share your name, phone number, or email with data brokers or advertisers. The advertising and analytics data above is measurement data collected by Google's tags, not your quote request details.

5. Calls, texts, and emails

By submitting a quote request you consent to being contacted by us and by matched contractors by phone, text message, and email about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

To stop: reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, tell any caller to remove you, or email quotes@getminisplitquotes.com. We will act on it. Note that contractors who already received your details are separate businesses — if one continues contacting you after you have asked them to stop, tell us and we will address it with them.

6. How long we keep it

Quote request information is retained for up to 24 months so we can respond to follow-up questions and resolve disputes, then deleted or anonymised. Server logs are retained for a shorter period by our hosting provider. We keep records longer where required by law.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to submitted information to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct information that is wrong
• Delete your information
• Stop contacting you

Email quotes@getminisplitquotes.com with your request. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Texas residents. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives Texas consumers rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal data, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data. We do run the Google Ads tag, which may be used for advertising measurement and remarketing — that falls under targeted advertising, and you have the right to opt out.

To opt out of targeted advertising: email quotes@getminisplitquotes.com and we will honour it, or turn it off at the source throughGoogle Ad Settings, or block advertising cookies in your browser. To exercise any other right, email quotes@getminisplitquotes.com. We respond within 45 days. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our response.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install Google'sAnalytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Analytics measuring your visits to any site, or block analytics cookies in your browser.

9. Do Not Track

There is no universal standard that browsers and sites agree on for Do Not Track, so like most sites we do not respond to the header itself. The Google tags described above can associate your visit with advertising and usage activity across sites. Use the opt-out routes in section 8, or a browser setting that blocks third-party, advertising, and analytics cookies, and the tags will not be able to build that association.

10. Third-party links

We link to utilities, government agencies, and other external sites for reference. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy before doing so.
